The world of translation has changed, and not always for the better.
A few big translation agencies share most of the market, and fail to retain their translators as well as their heads of projects. Translators are gradually replaced by computer-aided translation softwares, and the result is often poor quality.

For the client, having a direct and durable relationship with a freelance translator is a guarantee of quality, for a price often lower than the one charged by translation agencies.

Background

Graduated from the Institut Supérieur d'Interprétation et de Traduction (ISIT) of Paris in 1986, as well as from the british, german and spanish chambers of commerce, I worked for a translation agency in London in 1988/1989 before becoming a freelance translator in 1990.
But being a free lance translator does not mean working alone. Many translator networks have been created.
As far as I am concerned, I work in partnership with translators, whose languages and specialization are complementary, in order to offer the best possible service.
